Do you generally have to fill forms, fields with your name, email address, phone number, postal code, descriptions, a signature even? How about letting a small piece of software do all that for you? Ergonis is offering
Typinator 3.0 for Mac users looking to simplify the process of having to repeatedly type the same information over and over again.
Typinator is an easy-to-use automatic text software that
helps you quickly insert phrases or pictures into any type of document, says Ergonis. Typinator boosts your productivity and eliminates errors by automating the process of inserting frequently used text and graphics and auto-correcting typing errors.
Typinator 3.0 adds two important features, aside smaller enhancements. One is that, with the new version, Typinator is no longer a regular application visible in the dock and the application switcher, but rather a dockless background-only application. Don't worry though, a small icon in the menu bar still allows you to access Typinator's main window in a jiffy. The second extra is a new search feature that lets you instantly view only snippets that contain a specified search string. The feature is particularly aimed at users with many snippets.
To use the text software, all you have to do is define an abbreviation along with its replacement text or picture. Whenever you type one of your abbreviations in any application, Typinator inserts the corresponding replacement. That's it! With thousands of pre-defined corrections for common typos and misspelled words for English, German and French, I doubt there's anyone out there who doesn't need this small piece of software.
Still not convinced? What harm could it do to download
the demo version of Typinator and give it a go right now? Better yet, see Typinator in action through this
short demo movie while the download completes.
Typinator 3.0 costs 19.99 euros. Owners of a previous version, particularly versions under two years old, can upgrade to version 3.0 for free.
