The number of apps available in the Store continues to grow bigger, as new great titles are finally ported to Microsoft’s newly released Windows 8 operating system.

This time, it’s Krome’s turn to announce a new game for Windows 8, as the developer is now working with Microsoft to bring the popular Ty the Tasmanian Tiger to both Windows 8 and Windows RT.

While the video clearly shows that Ty could easily become a very addicting game, it remains to be seen whether the touch support will indeed provide a seamless experience. The good news is that it’ll comprise 30 levels of classic 2D gaming, as well as lots of other goodies.

As for the release date, there are no details available for the time being but, according to Krome Studios, the new version of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is expected to be released “soon.”
