MSI launched two new products, the Mega Player 540 and Mega Player 536, ready to enter the battle with the highly popular iPod.

With a built-in 4GB HDD, the MP540 can carry up to 1,000 songs and 8,000 JPEG photos. It features the SRS WOW Effect technology, which provides virtual surround sound. Other features
include 15 FM station presets, simultaneous listening and recording of live radio, 18-hour playback using the built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery, and USB 2.0 connection.

Mega Player 536 comes with a built-in 1 inch HDD and a SD/MMC card slot that enables reading files directly from memory cards. The touchpad allows navigation throughout menus and playback control. The direct encoding function allows encoding and saving music in MP3 format. MP536 also features the SRS WOW Effect technology, as well as the FM radio functions found in MP540: 15 FM station presets, simultaneous listening and recording of live radio, 18-hour playback using the built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery, and USB 2.0 connection to minimize file sync time.
