First things first: “Two and a Half Men,” the sitcom that has made all of us laugh at a certain point in time and which put Charlie Sheen back on the map, is going to end after the next season, according to The Wrap.

This announcement that the team is getting ready to shoot the final episodes, has every fan wondering if Charlie Sheen, the actor who brought half the charm to the series, is going to make one final appearance, a sort of tribute to his time spent working on the bulk of the series.

Entertainment chief for CBS programming, Nina Tassler, is keeping options open but things aren't looking that good for Charlie. She said that “I would like to see whatever Chuck would like to do. He has assured us that he has a lot of surprises in store. I don't know if that's one of them.”

For many, having Charlie on the show would be a much needed return to the days when “Two and a Half Men” was still successful, as in later years it has slipped in terms of quality and ratings.

First, Charlie left due to frictions with the show's producer, Chuck Lore, and he was replaced with Ashton Kutcher, and then, later, Angus T. Jones, the “half” in the title, decided to leave too when he came to the conclusion that the show went against his religious beliefs.

So, at the moment, all fans can do is sit and wait and hope that Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lore can put their differences aside long enough to film a momentous finale that “Two and a Half Men” really deserves. Who's with us on a petition to reinstate Charlie one last time?
