14 DAY TRIAL // Two Worlds II is a massive RPG game developed by Reality Pump Studios and published by Topware Interactive. It looks like a Linux version of this game will land very soon, in a matter of weeks.
It's no longer surprising when developers or publishers say that they intend to release a certain title for the Linux platform and it seems that more and more complex games are making their way onto the open source platform. It all started with small indie games, and now we get to see open world titles that would have been hard to imagine running on Linux just a couple of years ago.
Two Worlds II fits very well into this category and it's probably one of the biggest games on Linux. You can easily compare it with Skyrim or Gothic, at least for the levels. The gameplay is rather different and it has nothing to do with those two titles.
Two Worlds II on Linux is a January bonus
The month of January is usually a very dry one and few games get released. This is true no matter the platform. In any case, the guy and gals from Topware Interactive have a big surprise for Linux users.
According to the gamingonlinux.com, Topware Interactive confirmed that Two Worlds II would be available on shelves on January 28 and for Steam users on January 26. As there are no important Linux events during that week, this is a good period to release an RPG that takes days to finish.

A complex quest system and an exciting main story draw you into the world of Antaloor, made richer by secondary quest scenarios," reads the Steam synopsys.
The system requirements for the Linux platform haven't been revealed just yet, but they shouldn't be too far off from Windows. Users will most likely need an Intel or AMD single-core processor at 2,0 GHz, 2GB of RAM, a GeForce 8800GT graphics card (or equivalent from AMD), and 8GB of HDD space.
