Two Worlds Gets Bigger, Better Online

- Two expansion packs are on the way

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

The term "open-world", used by Two Worlds, as well as many more games out there, shouldn't go too well hand in hand with "expansion pack" - really, now,
how could you expand an already open world where everything is possible? Well... it seems that you can since, as we all know, "open-world" never means what it says.

Anyway... SouthPeak Games has announced two downloadable content expansions for Two Worlds, the RPG where dragons and lilies go hand in hand. Both packs will be made available through Xbox Live and, as usual, they promise to expand and improve the game – its multiplayer experience, at least.

"Two Worlds has been a huge success for SouthPeak and much of its appeal can be credited to having a huge game-world to explore," said Melanie Mroz, CEO of SouthPeak Games. "Reality Pump has worked tirelessly to improve the multiplayer experience and this new downloadable content is geared towards expanding upon it, offering lots of new missions and areas to explore with friends."

These two new expansion packs promise to bring a lot of new content, as well as a new player vs player mode based around controlling key areas of a multiplayer map. Something like you saw in World in Conflict or Unreal Tournament (hmm... now it really sounds strange that an RPG, an RTS and a FPS have a common game mode). Along with this new strategic play mode, additional maps, co-operative missions and a suite of new weapons are also included, adding a considerable amount of play time to the already content-packed world of Antaloor.

However, we'll not receive these two expansion packs at once – the first one will be made available in March, while the other one will follow shortly, in April. Both will cost 600 MS points and would add some extra "open world-ness" to this already open world. Ha!
