The Syrian Electronic Army, the hacker group that supports the Syrian regime, has hijacked the Twitter account of FRANCE 24 Arabia, and the one of Les Observateurs.

It’s worth noting that Les Observateurs is the site of FRANCE 24 which covers the news through an international network of observers who submit information, photos and videos.

In the tweets they posted from the compromised accounts, the hackers accused the organization of being a “liar media.”

HackRead reports that some of the tweets accused countries such as Saudi Arabia, France, the UK and the US of supporting terrorism and making false accusations against Syria.

“The #obs are back after a little problem with the account! Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you all for your confidence!” Les Observateurs wrote on Twitter after regaining control of their account.

FRANCE 24 Arabia also apologized to its over 400,000 followers for the inconvenience caused by the cyberattack.
