With NEC covering the commercial front, Samsung decided to hand something over to the business sector, or at least expand the availability of a pair of products that were actually unleashed a while ago.

Samsung is one of those companies that have a stake in many areas of the IT industry, from that of mobile handsets and phones to laptops and other systems.

Among its business outlets there was a HDD division, which Seagate ended up buying.

One IT segment that Samsung isn't, on the other hand, bound to abandon any time soon is that of display solutions.

Some users might remember a certain pair of SyncMaster 850 Series monitors that were officially launched in South Korea a while back.

It turns out that those products have now become available in a certain other market, that of Europe.

The items in question bear the names of S24A850DW and S27A850D, their screen sizes being of, as their names suggest, 24 inches and 27 inches, respectively.

The S24A850DW has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, otherwise known as Full HD, plus a recommended price tag of 499 Euro.

Meanwhile, the S27A850D, with a display diagonal of 27 inches, has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, as well as a price of 799 Euro.

The rest of the feature set is the same on both monitors, not surprising seeing the fact that they are part of the same collection.

The display angles are of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically, for instance, as is the brightness of 300 cd/m2.

Furthermore, Samsung threw in LED backlighting, a GTG (gray-to-gray) response time of 5ms, plus a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and an ambient light sensor.

Other specifications include dual-link DVI, DisplayPort, some USB 3.0 connectors and stands with pivot, tilt, swivel and height adjustment.
