There are now four Inno3D GTX 780 adapters, each stronger than the last

NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 780 video board is already powerful, one might even say overpowered despite there being a stronger model on sale (GTX Titan), but that didn't stop Inno3D from launching two overclocked ones.

The new video boards are called iChill Black GTX 780 Accelero Hybrid and iChill GTX 780 HerculeZ 3000 X3 Ultra.

For those who don't know, NVIDIA's reference video adapter has the GPU (graphics processing unit), with its 2304 CUDA cores, working at 863 MHz (Base clock) or 900 MHz (GPU Boost clock), while the 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM operate at 6 GHz over a 384-bit interface.

iChill Black GTX 780 Accelero Hybrid can go quite a bit beyond that, thanks to the Arctic Accelero Hybrid closed-loop liquid cooler.

Which is to say, the GPU functions at 1020 / 1059 MHz and the memory at 6280 MHz.

The Accelero Hybrid cooler comes into contact with the GPU, the VRM (voltage regulation module) and the memory chips.

The other video card, iChill GTX 780 HerculeZ 3000 X3 Ultra, uses a triple-fan air cooler but doesn't lag too far behind its sibling in terms of performance.

Verily, the potential for user-handled overclocking is the real deciding factor when choosing between the two.

Anyway, the iChill GTX 780 HerculeZ 3000 X3 Ultra runs at 1006 MHz / 1046 MHz (for the GPU) and 6300 MHz (for the memory).

All in all, Inno3D definitely provides reasons to buy one of these things instead of NVIDIA's original adapters, despite the price differences.

Sadly, we don't actually know what the price difference is. The formal announcement didn't include the tags, and Inno3D didn't specify them on its website either. That means we have to wait until online retailers post the products up for order, something that could take anything from a few days to a few weeks.
