Recent slate releases by HP didn’t revive the market, but the company is not giving up

It appears that HP is gearing up to offer a couple more slates in the US just in time for the holiday season. Two new models, B94HHB17CM and B94HHB15C, have shown up on the FCC website this week.

The first one, the HP Slate 10 HD, comes with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, which is odd since that’s not really enough to justify the “HD” tag. Power is drawn from a Marvell PXA986 processor.

The slate also bundles a microSD card slot and two cameras and will become available in Wi-Fi and 4G flavors. Basically, the HP Slate 10 HD is going to be your average budget tablet, which the company has spiced up a little by slipping in feats like Beats Audio. The new device is expected to show its face in November.

The other tablet has been dubbed HP 10 1900 so far and not much is known about it, except that it supports cellular data on GSM and WCDMA networks and it has HDMI and SD card slot. Wi-Fi capabilities and Bluetooth 3.0 will also be provided.

More information about the slates is expected to drop soon.
