Two New Character Posters for ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’

If fans missed action duo Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as played by Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, here’s the perfect opportunity to catch up with them a bit. Two brand new character posters for “Sherlock Holmes 2” have been released.

Called “A Game of Shadows,” the sequel is also directed by Guy Ritchie and will aim to have the two protagonists facing even bigger and more dangerous challenges in their quest for the truth and, of course, justice.

The two character posters clearly show that.

To remove all doubt that Sherlock and Watson are not the talkative intellectuals we might expect, but rather very smart men of action, the posters have them holding weapons while gazing intently into some distant point the camera can’t reach.

With the background, we get a good hint that the threat they’re facing is huge, since Big Ben (in the Watson poster) and the Eiffel Tour (in the Holmes one) appear in grave danger and are surrounded by smoke.

No wonder the two are frowning.

“Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” is scheduled for theatrical release on December 16.
