They will take their sweet time in actually becoming available for shipment

Mitsubishi has made one of those product announcements that provides all relevant information without actually being accompanied by market availability.

There are, or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that there will be, two new DiamondCrysta monitors in Mitsubishi's collection.

Both of them have a diagonal of 23 inches in length and the widescreen form factor, which means the 16:9 aspect ratio.

That’s right, this is another display duo that boasts the 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution.

There is only one difference between the panels: one has an anti-glare matte coating, while the other one doesn't.

To be more specific, the monitor with matte anti-glare treatment is called RDT234WX, while the other bears the name RDT234WX-S.

In that order, they will become available on May 16 and June 15. No prices are known for now, but they shouldn't be too different from those of all other Full HD monitors out there.

That said, we may as well provide whatever specifications are available.

First off, these aren't two of those strange beasts with an absurd dynamic contrast ratio. Instead, they make do with 8,000:1, while the static ratio is a common 1,000:1.

Also, the maximum brightness is a regular 250 cd/m2. It should be enough for most rooms, even with large windows if the anti-glare film is present.

Furthermore, in order to support as many PCs as possible, old and new, Mitsubishi outfitted the LED-backlit LCDs with two HDMI ports, a D-Sub connector and one DVI input.

Not only that, but the IPS panels provide wide viewing angles and the response time is probably the greatest advantage here: 3.5 ms, when Overdrive is enabled.

Finally, there are stereo speakers hidden in the bezel (2+2W), plus optional TV tuning support, all in a package weighing 4.9 kilograms and suspended on a stand that branches off into two “feet.”
