Since AMD has just let the G-Series APU “cat” out of the bag, it was expected for some of the company's partners to already start announcing their own implementations of this new and innovative platform, one of the first to do so being Fujitsu (or better said, one of its branches, Fujitsu Technology Solutions). So, through a post in AMD's own Blogs section by Peter Hoser, the director of OEM Sales, Clients Group, Systemboard OEM, at Fujitsu Technology Solutions, who acted as a guest blogger on this occasion, Fujitsu reveals the fact they've prepared two new Mini-ITX mainboards, models D3003-S1 and D3003-S2, based on the new AMD Embedded G-Series platform and including the AMD A55E Fusion Controller Hub.

Given the fact that AMD has released two different types of G-Series APUs, each of Fujitsu's boards targets specifically one of the aforementioned models, the 3003-S1 targeting AMD’s low-energy 9W TDP single-core processor T44R, while model D3003-S2 supports the dual-core 18W TDP processor model T56N.

As expected, the new boards have been designed to meet the needs of customers requiring high computing power at low energy-consumption levels, combined with small form factors and affordable costs (these being, after, the main selling points provided by AMD's new APU products).

Moreover, the two mini ITX boards will also manage to fare quite well when employed in non-stop (24/7) industrial applications (computers for industrial robots and machinery, just to give a couple of examples), given the fact that they're designed for a temperature range from 0 to 60 degrees centigrade.

No pricing and availability details for the new boards from Fujitsu have been provided just yet, but Fujitsu's rep did reveal the fact that their D3003-S1 and D3003-S2 mini-ITX boards will be showcased for the first time in public at the “Embedded World” fair in Nuremberg, Germany, in early March.
