Like many other companies, Micro-Star International has big plans for the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, said plans involving, among other things, the release of some tablet PCs.

Though many were skeptical about the chances of tablets at the start of the year 2010, all fears were dispelled by the strong sales of the Apple iPad.

Not too long a time later, most, if not all, PC makers, as well as some suppliers of consumer electronics, began work on their own Android or Windows slates.

Micro-Star International is, as one has probably already guessed, among those that mean to work both sides.

What this means is that the company has prepared not just a tablet based on Intel chips and loaded with Windows, but also one that runs the Android OS.

As reports have it, MSI's intention to show off its slates during CES has been confirmed.

Apparently, the outfit will have the WindPad 100A and the 100W, the A and W standing for the operating system that is loaded onto them.

As such, the 100W obviously runs Windows, Windows 7 Home Premium that is, while the 100A is loaded with Android, although whether it is Android 2.2 or 2.3 is still unknown.

The 100A is powered by an ARM processor and boasts GPS, a weight of 800 grams and optional 3G.

Meanwhile, the 100W uses an Intel chip, possibly part of the Core series, while a 32 GB SSD provides storage space.

Both boast WiFi connectivity and have 10.1-inch displays with touch support, plus G-sensors and ambient light sensors.

The 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show will take place between 6 and 9 January, which should be more than enough time for the company to provide the full list of specifications for both models. As such, users will just have to wait for little over a week.
