Since Apple likes to give its consumer electronics devices, like iPhones and iPads, unusual ports and plugs, peripheral and accessory makers need to make custom gadgets too.

Yamaha is the one that just launched two new headphones compatible with such things.

Part of the HPH-PRO series, they are called PRO500 and PRO300, have fixed cords and will ship in December (2012).

The former has 50 mm drivers, 22-22,000 Hz frequency response, sensitivity of 105 dB and an impedance of 22 Ohms.

The other headset gets 40 mm drivers, 53 Ohm impedance and 107 dB sensitivity.

Yamaha PRO500 will carry a price of 50,000 Yen, or $620 / 480 Euro, but the PRO300 will ship for “only” 30,000 Yen ($375 / 288 Euro). No word yet on whether or not other countries will get them.
