Long time maker of all sort of high-end and gaming products Gigabyte went ahead and, this time around, released a pair of new wired mice which bear the names of M6900 and M6980.

Since mice have become the central input device for most, if not all games, makers of such devices have been especially mindful of their development.

As such, there is now a veritable market for gaming-oriented mice, from wireless models to MMO-ready models with more than a dozen buttons each.

The two new mice that Gigabyte has come up with are not wireless ones, but they are still built in such a way as to meet the needs of demanding gamers.

The products in question are dubbed M6900 and M6980 and have multiple things in common, from the overall design to the hardware inside, although they do have their own, 'exclusive' traits.

The M6900 can be seen as the smaller sibling to the M6980 and has an optical sensor, a 4-way scroll wheel and the ability to withstand up to 30G acceleration.

It also tops 3200 dpi, has a red LED light, boasts has five customizable buttons, plus a so-called ergonomic design meant to allow for a comfortable grip at all times.

The second mouse, M6980, utilizes a laser sensor, has a maximum of 2000 dpi, 7 buttons instead of just 5 and a rubberized coating, for better handling.

Other specifications include a blue LED lighting system and 8KB of on-board memory, which allows macros to be stored by means of the Ghost Macro Engine.

The official press release that Gigabyte issued in order to trumpet its newest inventions states that ”both M6980 and M6900 gaming mice are made for gamers at a competitive price.”

Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing just how competitive a price that is considering that the amount of money required for their acquisition has not been made public yet.
