A house cat in Brazil has delivered a two-faced kitten earlier this week. The cat was born in the town of Balneário Camboriú.

According to the Huffington Post, the kitten's mother has also given birth to four other cats. The first kittens were born on Sunday, while the little two-faced one came into the world on Monday.

The process through which the animals are born with two faces, caused by a cell division anomaly, always leaves internal marks.

Two-faced kittens, also known as Janus cats, are not usually expected to survive more than a few days. They are normally born with internal damage and underdeveloped organs.

Another Janus cat was born in Oregon this year. Deucy only lived for two days, even with intact internal organs.
