Two Entry-Level CDMA Phones from Kyocera

Kyocera Wireless announced two new entry-level phones - Kyocera K122 and Kyocera K132. The handsets are the first in a series
of phones that Kyocera Wireless will release for CDMA operators.

Kyocera K122 is a compact bar-style phone, which offers basic functionality. It features an internal antenna, a large keypad for text messages and a color-filtered greyscale display. The phone supports BREW 2.1 that allows the download of games and ringtones. Productivity features include scheduler, alarm, clock and vibrating alert. The handset operates at 800 Mhz and uses CDMA2000 1xRTT technology. The battery provides 4 hours of talk time or 250 hours of standby time.

The second phone announced, the Kyocera K132, has more advanced features than K122. A 65k color display is present, as well as an internal antenna, speakerphone, and BREW 2.1. The phone also supports WAP 2.0, polyphonic ringtones, vibrating alert and predictive text entry. Productivity tools include scheduler, calculator, alarm clock, stopwatch, tip calculator, world clock and voice memos. The handset supports 3.7 hours of talk time or 180 hours of standby time.

The Kyocera K122 and Kyocera K132 will be available this fall.
