The Twitter redesign reaches every part of the site

Twitter is rolling out a brand new version of the site. It's been available for a few weeks now, but not all users have it enabled yet. Twitter is working on that, but, in the meantime, it's touting some of the new features that come with the new design.

Twitter hasn't only revamped its site, all of the mobile apps and anything related to the service has been updated and upgraded to conform to the new look and the new ideas.

Embedded tweets are part of the mix. While it's been possible to embed tweets on blogs, websites and so on, for a while, the new ones are a lot more useful and feature-rich.

"With the new version of Twitter, anyone can embed Tweets simply by copying and pasting one line of code into their website. Embedded Tweets automatically open to show images, conversations and videos," Twitter announced.

The new embedded tweets come with more functionality, you can start following the author of the tweet, or even interact with the tweet without having to visit Twitter.

"Whenever you see a Tweet embedded in a web page, you can follow that user with a single click and reply, retweet or favorite the Tweet right from the page," Twitter explained.

It's rather easy to embed a tweet with the new Twitter. You'll notice an "Embed this Tweet" link at the bottom of any tweet's permanent page. You'll have the option to use either HTML code, for a full embed, Shortcode or Link.

You use the code provided on your blog or website to have a permanent copy of the tweet complete with retweet, reply and favorite buttons, working links and so on.

An interesting detail is that the embedded tweets can even contain images and even videos which will be displayed inline on the blog or site, as long as they are hosted by Twitter, for photos, or YouTube, for videos.
