Twitter is So 2010, Obama Hits Tumblr for 2012 Campaign

Back in 2008 it was Facebook and, gasp, MySpace. In 2012, Barack Obama is betting on Tumblr. And everything else online of course. The current and prospective future President of the US has set up home on Tumblr to spearhead another victory.

Thankfully, Obama, or rather his campaign team, aims to make the most of Tumblr and is banking on the simple blogging platform's strengths, the highly viral nature of everything posted there.

So the president is asking for submissions from Tumblr users, anything they can think of. The best stuff will be posted on Obama's Tumblr for the world to see.

"We’d like this Tumblr to be a huge collaborative storytelling effort—a place for people across the country to share what’s going on in our respective corners of it and how we’re getting involved in this campaign to keep making it better," the first post, titled 'Hi, Tumblr' explained.
