The app is again up for grabs from the integrated Windows Store

An update for the official Twitter client for Windows 8 rolled out yesterday broke down the app on Microsoft’s new operating system and, due to unknown reasons, the program was temporarily removed from the Store.

It appears that everything’s back to normal as of this morning and the Twitter client shows up again in the Store and in the “Spotlight” section, so every user running Windows 8 or Windows RT can freely download it.

The release notes published in the Store only point to some bug fixes, so nobody knows for sure what went wrong yesterday when the app disappeared from Windows 8’s app repository.

While several users have confirmed the issue, others said the update was working just fine, so the bug was most likely affecting only a small number of Windows 8 adopters.
