The eagerly awaited Twitter for Windows 8 has arrived, bringing a pack of very useful features for all those who have already made the move to Microsoft’s new operating system.

Twitter for Windows 8 is based on a very clean interface specifically optimized for the touch, as the app works not only on the desktop version of Microsoft’s new software, but also on tablets running Windows RT.

While it doesn’t pack more advanced features such as URL shortening, the new Twitter client comes with Windows 8 integration, so you can always use the Search and Share Charms to access these particular features of the social networking platform.

Of course, the app is available at absolutely no cost and doesn’t display any advertisements while using it.
