Research in Motion has just announced that a new 2.1 version for its Twitter application is now available for download from App World.
Long time users are likely to notice that the update brings several new features and improves some of the existing ones, but does not come with anything new when it comes to design or layout of the interface.
One of the interesting changes added with the version 2.1 is the multi-account support, which means that the application allows users to switch between up to five Twitter accounts and cross-post tweets and retweets.
With the new enhanced “Share with BBM” feature users can easily share tweets with BBM contacts and groups.
Additional profile functions have been added as well, along with the possibility to view more than one Twitter account in a single timeline.
