One of the most popular social applications for Android devices, Twitter has just received a major update that brings lots of visual improvements and feature enhancements.

The developers claim that this update focuses on making it easier for users to find out the latest info on Twitter with improvements to discover, search and notifications.

The complete changelog of the new version of Twitter has been published and includes the following changes:

- Updated design and improved relevance of Discover stories; - Activity in Discover tab shows who your connections follow, updates to their lists, and which Tweets they retweet and favorite; - Spelling suggestions and related searches in search results; - Username autocomplete in search; - New push notifications for when your Tweets have been retweeted, favorited, or when you have new followers; - New languages: Traditional Chinese, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Hungarian, Thai.

With the new Discover tab, users will be able to find what they’re really interested in, along with all the content that matters for them. The latest update also provides users with the possibility to see Activity on Twitter.

Activity is now placed under the redesigned stories in Discover and comprises a stream of updates that allows users to see which Tweets are favorite or retweeted by those who follow the user.

Search feature has been improved as well, but made much simpler. There are suggestions for different spellings now, as well as related terms for queries.

Last but not least, developers have added push notifications for Interactions in order for users to find out immediately when their Tweets have been retweeted, favorite or when they get a new follower.

Twitter 3.2.0 is now available as a free download from Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
