Twitter for Android Receives Bug Fix Update

The official Twitter application for Android devices has just been updated with several crashers and bug fixes. Apparently, no other changes have been included in this maintenance update.

However, it looks like several users have already reported that the application does not run smoothly on Samsung Galaxy Nexus devices. For the time being, Twitter does not support the Ice Cream Sandwich platform.

While running Twitter on the Galaxy Nexus the scrolling is extremely choppy most of the time, though other apps are working smoothly. Hopefully, the developer will deploy another minor update within the next few days to address this problem as well.

Twitter 3.0.1 for Android is now available as a free download in the Android Market and is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
