Twitter has released a new version of Vine for iOS users to address a crashing bug that occurred when leaving the app during a recording session.

Vine 1.1.2 is a minor update, but one that should prove to be important for users who often leave the app during a video shoot.

According to the release notes, “This update resolves an issue in Vine 1.1.1 that caused a crash when leaving and returning to the app while recording.”

Twitter points out that the new Vine 1.1.2 also includes the bug fixes and improvements from the 1.1.1 update, such as a thumbnail issue, a bug where incorrect avatars were displayed with intermittent network connections, some miscellaneous improvements, etc.

Vine is a free download for all iDevice owners running iOS 5.0 or later. iPads aren’t natively supported.
