Twitter Plays Around with the User Profile Again

The new changes only affect a small percentage of users

Twitter is apparently testing out a new profile redesign, despite just rolling out a brand new interface over the past several weeks.

According to Mashable, one of its editors wound up with a huge update on his profile page. The main picture and biography are on the left side, while the image overlaps over the header photo, in a manner that reminds everyone of Facebook.

The stats (number of tweets, photos and videos, following, followers, favorites and lists) are all lined up under the header. Photos and content cards get a front-row seat to the redesign and go is the classic, vertical timeline.

It’s not exactly surprising to find a handful of people reporting substantial changes to Twitter, since company groups often run short-lived tests on a limited number of people, which also seems to be the case now.

The surprising part, however, is that Twitter is even considering making such a change since it has only just rolled out a big interface transformation.
