Hackers from the LulzSec Peru collective have managed to take over the official account of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

After they had noticed that the account had been hijacked, the party’s representatives started tweeting from their personal accounts to inform their followers that all the messages posted by @PartidoPSUV were fake. They claimed the account had been hacked by “the fascist right.”

At the time of writing, the account has been recovered. However, its administrators have forgotten to remove the account description message published by the hackers, which reads “No to communism. Corrupt Chavez get out.”

The hackers also claim to have gained access to a large number of emails received by PSUV representatives. Some of them – totaling around 600 MB (compressed) – have been published online.

Members of LulzSec Peru claim they will publish the rest of them in the upcoming period.
