14 DAY TRIAL // The official Twitter account of famous Nigerian singer and actress Stella Damasus was hijacked on Friday.
The hacker posted the following tweet from the compromised account: “OMG! RIP Daniel. Is everybody happy now? *tears*”
“Daniel” refers to Daniel Ademinokan, the business partner and alleged secret husband of the celebrity.
The tweet in question has not been removed by the star, but she published a short statement to clarify that it’s a hoax.
“Please disregard the last tweet that was sent from my account. It was hacked. I am really shocked that people would use someone’s life to play. That was a very expensive joke,” Stella Damasus tweeted.
Her publicist, Bayo Adetu, confirmed that the account was hijacked.
“Please, ignore any rumour about Daniel Ademinokan's death. Stella Damasus' Twitter account was hacked! Thank you all,” he wrote on Twitter.
A hacker of the “new” UGNazi collective, VandaTheGod, has taken credit for the breach.
