14 DAY TRIAL // The official Twitter account of Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips – a renowned Islamist teacher, speaker, and author – has been hijacked by spammers.
Several posts have been published from his accounts, all of them containing links that lead to gambling websites.
It’s worth noting that gambling is strictly forbidden in Islam, so it’s clear that Philips doesn’t have anything to do with the betting sites.
“Last Chance to get your NO DEPOSIT £10 FREE BET from Betfred – Ending Shortly – [link] – th10,” one of the tweets reads.
Dr. Philips has been warned by users that his account had been hacked. However, the shady tweets haven’t been removed, and the attackers still appear to have access to his account.
As you can see in the screenshot, a legitimate tweet by Philips appears between two spam tweets.
