14 DAY TRIAL // Staff at Atlanta Zoo now have their hands full looking after a pair of twin giant panda cubs born at the animal sanctuary this past Monday.
Lun Lun was kept a very close eye on all throughout her pregnancy. However, nobody picked up on the fact that she was getting ready to deliver not one, but two cubs.
Sources say that, while watching the birth, zoo keepers were shocked to find that, two minutes after giving birth to one cub, Lun Lun welcomed another baby panda into her arms.
“But then we see a second cub come out. Oh, my God, twins! It was sheer panda-monium,” zoo spokesperson Keisha Hines tells the press.
Lun Lun has been entrusted with one of the cubs, and staff at the zoo are looking after the other. Both baby pandas appear to be in good health.
