Vampire franchise may have been successful, but that doesn’t make it good

“The Twilight Saga” has been so criticized all these years (for all the right reasons, of course) that it almost pains me to list some of its most ridiculous flaws. The people have spoken: “Twilight” has been named the worst movie of all times.

Yes, all five “Twilight” movies have earned that distinction, in a new poll from RiffTrax.

Getting no less than 35,593 votes, the vampire sage climbed atop the ladder for the title that no movie director, studio or actor would ever want to have attached to their name.

“There’s a lot to cover in this vast, sprawling film series so let us try to boil it down for you: ‘Mumble mumble mumble moon eyes. Mumble mumble mumble mumble lay in a field’,” the e-zine writes about the movie.

Some call “Twilight” a stain on cinematography that will take years to wash off. Others can’t believe so many people would pay so much money to see a sparkly vampire do his best at wooing a lip-biting, mumbling and incredibly awkward human teen.

For fans, though, “Twilight” remains the best. I have a feeling many of them will object to the finding of this new poll, about it being the worst movie of all times – ever.
