14 DAY TRIAL // Ashley Greene, who plays good vampire Alice Cullen in the highly successful “The Twilight Saga,” is the latest celebrity to find herself in the midst of a photo scandal. Photos of the star have surfaced on the Internet just hours ago and are already being pulled down, as lawyers for the star threaten legal action, People magazine informs.
The revealing personal photos first surfaced on celebrity blog Perez Hilton and, from there, spread throughout the blogosphere with the speed of lighting. Since then, Greene’s attorneys have already issued a statement on them, with blogs and e-zines pulling them down after receiving cease and desist letters from the actress’ legal representatives. As it happens, the photos are real – but they’re also illegal, the attorneys say.
This can only mean that either the 22-year-old star was underage at the time she took them, or that they were stolen from her and then leaked on the Internet, with most publications inclining to believe it’s the latter. Either way, Greene’s attorneys make this no joking matter. “The photos in question, which appear to be of our client, are illegal and are being unlawfully displayed. Our client intends to take legal action.” a statement from Greene’s legal camp reads. As such, most photos have already been pulled down.
Ashley Greene, as we were also telling you yesterday, was just honored with the Choice Fresh Face Female at the Teen Choice Awards 2009 on Sunday. The award for the Fresh Face Male went to co-star and current teen idol Taylor Lautner, who plays wolf Jacob Black in the “Twilight” movies. With their two wins, the popular vampire love story film nabbed no less than 11 awards of the 12 categories it was nominated for, making it the biggest winner of this year’s edition, as we also reported.

Lautner, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Justin Chon, Robert Pattinson, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and Catherine Hardwicke took the stage and braved the shrieks to take home surfboard trophies for Best Drama, Romance, Actor (Pattinson), Actress (Stewart), Villain (Cam Gigandet), Fresh Face Female (Greene), Fresh Face Male (Lautner), Liplock (Stewart and Pattinson) and Rumble (Pattinson and Gigandet). Another highlight came when RPattz and Megan Fox came onstage together to accept their matching Hottie awards.” MTV wrote of the winners at the Teen Choice Awards 2009.
