‘Twilight’ Is Really Bad, One-Dimensional, Whitney Port Says

“The Hills” star Whitney Port says she can’t understand the fuss about “Twilight”

“Twilight” may not have struck the right chord with movie critics, but it certainly has pleased fans, as the $370+ million grossing at the box office clearly demonstrates. Fans all over the world enjoyed it, even if they had not read the original novel beforehand, and that should speak volumes, it has been suggested. One star, though, that cannot understand what the fuss is all about is Whitney Port of “The Hills” fame, according to GossipGirls.

Speaking with MTV, the network that helped her become a star with the reality series (which may or may not be a fake, as contradicting reports have it), Port says that she can’t simply understand what the big deal with “Twilight” was. For starters, the movie is really bad and, to cap it all off, one-dimensional, so there is little the viewer can enjoy while watching it, she believes. There is one reason to watch it, though, and that is Robert Pattinson.

“I haven’t read the books, but I saw the movie.” Whitney Port tells MTV, as quoted by the aforementioned publication. “I thought the movie was really bad. I love whatever his name is... Robert [Pattinson]. I think he’s so good-looking and handsome. I haven’t met him.” the reality star further explains. But that’s not all she has to object about the movie that generated an almost unprecedented following with teens (and not only) all over the world.

According to Port, Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella in “Twilight,” the love interest of Pattinson’s character, is just as bad as the rest of the film. “She’s OK. She seems so serious, like she’s so one-dimensional. I think [Stewart and Pattinson] have good chemistry... I just didn’t think the acting was so good.” the reality star adds.

In all fairness, “Twilight” did not score maximum points with critics, it has been suggested. The consensus of top critics on RottenTomatoes, for instance, is that “having lost much of its bite transitioning to the big screen, ‘Twilight’ will please its devoted fans, but do little for the uninitiated.” Be that as it may, Whitney Port continues to be the first celebrity to speak out in such negative terms about the film, several movie-oriented publications and e-zines are pointing out.

Whitney is the PHONIEST person on the Hills...I stopped watching the show because of her. I am an Avid Twilight fan and I believe Whitney is just jealous of the attention Twilight is getting. Get over it... your show sucks because of you, and we all know it's an act... Kristen Stewart can act you out of the water!

I'm sorry, I never respond to comments, although being somewhat hypocritical I always read them, but I just had to comment on this. WHo in the HELL is WHITNEY PORT to comment on anything, real or fake, beccause let's face it, all these "reality based" shows are fake and that's just plain worse. I may agree that Kristen Stewart could have done a better job as Bella and I hope to see her bring out the character more in the sequels. However, Whitney didn't read the books, is not a fan and just needs to shut her mouth and continue shopping and flirting with her airhead models. Stick to what you know, which is not a whole lot, but commenting on Twilight is something you need to stick your nose OUT OF!

i agree that whitney has no right to talk about real or fake but come on, people, its not like Twilight is some kind of cenima masterpiece or something. Alot of people hated the movie, fans and non fans alike, i mean, i thought it was okay but it was disappointed with how fast it went. As for getting so testy about it...remember that its not real, no matter how interesting you may think it is.

Who the else is Whitney "lame-o" port is criticize anyone. She's not an actress..she's famous for no talent. Kristen Stewart played Bella the way she was written, a shy, self concious girl. If Whitney would have read the book she'd know that!!

SERIOUSLY MS.PORT! Do you think that stupid show is making millions like stephenie meyers book and movie are. The hills/the city has to be the stupidest thing on tv. At least the people who read twilight have imaginations and not are some dumb blondes that think every guy is hot and girl every girl envies them. Please get over yourself! Lets see you write 4 books and transition them to movies.
