Fans worried that the fourth and fifth “Twilight” films will not stay true to the original book by Stephenie Meyer, “Breaking Dawn,” needn’t worry: they will be as intense and gruesome as the novel.

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg spoke to E! Online about the possibility of cutting out or, at the very least, toning down some scenes in the two upcoming films, and insisted that won’t happen.

As fans must already know, without the risk of spoiling anything for them, Bella (played by Kirsten Stewart) gives birth to Edward’s (Robert Pattinson) baby in “Breaking Dawn.”

Shortly after delivering the baby, she’s turned into a vampire by Edward in what makes for the book’s most controversial and hard to render on the big screen sequences.

In fact, this was precisely the scene that made many industry insiders, and even fans, say that “The Twilight Saga” would stop after “Eclipse,” though, happily, that’s not the case.

According to Rosenberg, not only will the remaining two movies not leave out anything, but the birth and death scene will also be as intense and gruesome as in the book.

“We’re working on it. And we’re working on it to be as intense as it is in the book,” Rosenberg says of Renesmee’s gruesome birth.

However, saying it will be intense doesn’t mean it will also be a genuine bloodfest like in the horror movies. Far from it, the screenwriter promises.

“I don’t think it’s about the amount of blood you show. It’s about the intensity of it. It’s on their faces,” Rosenberg says.

“It’s all from Bella’s point of view when you’re seeing what’s going. It should feel visceral. I think it’s going to be pretty intense,” the scribe adds.

So that means no to bloody scenes, yes to intensity and drama, which is just what Twi-hards want to see in “Breaking Dawn.”

The fourth film in the highly successful franchise, which also stars Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene, among others, goes into production this fall, with a release date for next year.
