Tweetium today received another important update, reaching version 2.5 and offering some new options to users who already purchased the app.

For example, the Twitter client now comes with a context menu option which allows users to mute hashtags forever, while also boasting improved filtering of blocked users and a revised image viewer which has changed and refined the zooming behavior.

At the same time, this build fixes a bug causing RT notifications to appear incorrectly on the live tile, but also an issue which made certain views blank when launching the app from a toast notification.

“Tweetium is the premium Windows 8 Twitter client you've been waiting for. It's slick. It's fast. It's been designed with ample feedback from serious Twitter users, with the goal of helping you get the most out of Twitter on Windows desktops, laptops, and tablets,” the app description published in the store reads.

Of course, the update is available on both desktops and tablets, so go ahead and download Tweetium for Windows 8.1 right now to see what's new. Keep in mind that if you haven't purchased a license, the trial version only allows you to use the app for a maximum of 7 days no matter the platform.
