Tweetium is getting updates on a regular basis, so today a new version showed up in the store for those running Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

As compared to the previous releases, Tweetium 2.4.2 doesn’t bring any new options, but only a few bug fixes that are supposed to improve the overall experience on both desktops and tablets.

According to the official release notes published in the store today, this new build fixes erroneous background task warnings on start-up for those who aren’t using the Pro version of the application. At the same time, it also fixes a crash experienced when navigating to the followers view.

The feature lineup is still unchanged, so the app should provide the same great experience in the Modern UI, no matter if you’re using it on a desktop computer or on a tablet.

“Tweetium is the premium Windows 8 Twitter client you've been waiting for. It's slick. It's fast. It's been designed with ample feedback from serious Twitter users, with the goal of helping you get the most out of Twitter on Windows desktops, laptops, and tablets,” the app description reads.

Overall, there’s no doubt that this update comes in handy for many, so download Tweetium 2.4.2 right now to fix any potential bugs experienced in the previous builds.
