Tapbots have released a major update for their intuitive Twitter client for iPhone and iPad users, Tweetbot 2.3. The new version brings a cool tweet detail view with inline conversations and replies, and a handy conversation view, to highlight just a couple of the new features.

Arguably a much better Twitter client than the solution provided by Twitter Inc., Tweetbot has a meticulously-crafted and highly-customizable interface.

There are separate versions for iPhone and iPad and each one has been designed with screen real estate in mind. Tweetbot was already a cool Twitter client but, thanks to this recent update, the app is downright spectacular!

There’s an all-new tweet detail view with inline conversations and replies which lets you swipe right to left on a tweet for quick access. To get back to the timeline quickly, swipe left to right (a new gesture in tweet detail).

Hardcore users will simply fall in love with the new conversation view which now contains both the conversation and the replies. Users can swipe left to right on a tweet for quick access.

The ability to email conversations or post a link to them via Storify when in the conversation view has been added, and video thumbnails now have a "play" icon to differentiate it from image thumbnails.

Users bothered by the Timeline sync bookmark icon will be glad to know that it’s an optional setting now.

The tweet drawer has been reorganized. The last two buttons have gone through some options reorganization, according to Tapbots. Other new features include:

- Added thumbnail support for Vimeo links - Higher res image uploads when on wifi - Hold down compose tweet button to quickly open last draft - Droplr Support - Support for $stock links - Improved email format when sending tweets, DMs, or conversations as email - Arabic Localization.
