Tapbots has released Tweetbot for Twitter version 1.0.1 in the Mac App Store. The updated Twitter client now offers offline reading support through the likes of Reading list (in Safari) and Read Later.

Offline reading with Reading and Read Later services is supported on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. Anything lower than that won’t work.

The timeline can now be navigated up and down using the j / k keys, and you can disable Streaming in Preferences. And the keyboard support has been improved in people searcher.

A bunch of issues are fixed in this release, including one where timeline would scroll down to tweets that have already been read, one involving streaming on accounts with > 1,500 followers, and many other reported issues and crashers.

Tweetbot for Twitter requires OS X 10.7.4 (Lion) or later and a 64-bit processor.
