Social networking company Pelago recently announced a partnership between TweetToGo, the photo and location Twitter app available for Verizon 3G multimedia handsets, and TweetPhoto, aimed at the inclusion of photo sharing support within the software solution. The TweetToGo application has been designed for Qualcomm’s Brew Mobile Platform (Brew MP) operating system, and can be downloaded on over 25 devices on Big Red's network.

“We’re huge Twitter fans, and we love the intersection of the Twitter experience with rich media and location technology, so we were excited to partner with TweetPhoto to bring those together in TweetToGo. TweetPhoto is a rising star, and we have been delighted by their APIs, stability, responsiveness, and innovation” said Jeff Holden, CEO. “Brew has allowed us to build a scalable product in a single codebase that works on many different phones from multiple manufacturers and in varied form factors.”

The software solution is capable of proving the perfect option for Twitter power users who are also Verizon Wireless customers. The application offers basic functionality, including tweet, reply, follow and the like, while packing a long list of other functionalities and options. Verizon customers can tap features like saved searches, Trends, refresh, Switch user, Email link, and more. Courtesy of its integration with TweetPhoto, the application enables users to take photos, preview them, upload them to TweetPhoto, and post a Tweet with a link to it. Not to mention that the solution can take advantage of the GPS capabilities of the device.

“TweetToGo is the first app of its kind to set foot into Brew platform, giving users the ability to socially share photos on Twitter,” said Sean Callahan, CEO of TweetPhoto. “We are extremely pleased to have partnered with Pelago and how they utilized our mobile photo sharing platform to enrich the photo sharing experience for Verizon Wireless customers.” Ed Ruth, director of business development and partner management at Big Red concluded that the inclusion of social networking capabilities on Verizon's multimedia handsets is a great way to add value to them.
