Eager to offer gamers a new and better means of enjoying high-quality sound, Turtle Beach has brought out the Ear Force DX11 7.1 Surround Sound System, which is essentially a merger of the Ear Force X11 headset and the Ear Force DSS Dolby 7.1 surround sound processor.
Though gamers usually focus more on CPUs, graphics, and memory products, the fact remains that a high-end sound solution contributes just as much to the overall experience.
As such, turtle beach was quite thorough when it designed its latest gaming headset, known as the Ear Force DX11 7.1.
This new product has a fairly long list of assets, from acoustically-suitable design elements to actual hardware benefits.
The Ear Force DX11, for one, utilizes large ear cups with 40mm drivers that can render a deep bass for everything from games to digital music.
A variable bass boost can enhance realism during games and movies as well, by enhancing sounds of such things as gunshots and explosions.
Also, for a touch of comfort, the circum-aural ear cups use large, deep fabric-mesh cushions that sit around the ears, while a 16-foot extra cable removes any mobility issues.
Other specifications include a S/PDIF-to-analog converter, for down-mixing multi-channel audio to 2-channel headphone output, as well as independent volume controls for game and voice signals.
As for aesthetics and versatility, Turtle Beach went for a black and white color theme and a deep-cushioned headband with an adjustable boom mic.
