Right Brain Media today announced its free ReadyCast app for iDevices, which allows users to broadcast live events in real time from their iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to another party.

Right Brain Media is a frontrunner in digital media and web technology and specializes in live streaming products, enterprise websites, mobile apps, and more.

Interested parties simply download the free ReadyCast app on their mobile device, log in, and begin live streaming. The process reportedly takes minutes and works brilliantly for business seminars, trade shows, sporting events, and church services.

Its intelligent device detection optimizes streaming content for delivery to any supported device, including desktop computers, iOS devices, and Android tablets and smartphones.

“The ReadyCast App has been designed to make live streaming as easy as possible. By simplifying the process for quality live streaming broadcasts, ReadyCast puts the controls right in your hands – literally,” the developer says.

Right Brain Media says that one of its first clients was the United States Specialty Association (USSSA), the largest amateur sports organization in the country. As one of the first organizations to implement ReadyCast in its workflow, the USSSA streams their games live using iPhones and iPod touch devices with the ReadyCast app installed.

The organization also takes advantage of the app’s auto-archive feature, which allows sports directors to record and save their games on the provider's server for playback later on.

Deke Hooper, CIO at Right Brain Media, said, “ReadyCast makes mobile broadcasting easy. It makes streaming really convenient – for anyone – because of the automated provisioning that our system offers. All of the API calls that are available help to streamline the process for users.”

The app is so easy to set up, even the average “non-technical user” will begin live streaming with just a few taps through available API calls, according to Right Brain Media.

“Automated provisioning provides convenience for large companies and streamlines the process for end users,” the company adds.

An approved ReadyCast Provider is necessary to stream content. These include RBM.tv, Highwinds, Mirror-Image, and USSSA.

Those who are grabbing Readycast for the first time will be downloading version 1.0.1, which includes updated providers and several bug fixes and improvements across the board.

The tool requires only iOS 6.0, so technically it should work with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad second generation, iPad third generation, iPad fourth generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, iPod touch fourth generation, and iPod touch fifth generation.
