Autodesk has announced 123D Catch, a new iPad app that lets users take images from their camera and upload them to the Autodesk cloud service to transform them into a 3D models.

Autodesk says the app is immediately available for download in the App Store. Sadly, Apple hasn’t flipped the switch on it yet, but it should become available any moment now.

Since the app is part of the 123D family at Autodesk, 123D Catch users can take advantage of a connected group of Autodesk software. Registrants will also benefit from fabrication services for 3D printing and laser cutting.

Autodesk took this opportunity to also introduce a new feature for 123D products called My Corner. The service provides cloud storage for all 123D design projects.
