Available for Blackberry smartphones that are running at least Blackberry 4.2 operating system, VR+: Voice Recorder can turn your device into a pure dictaphone. Besides its main voice recording feature, those that decide to go for it will also get a very easy to use voice messenger and a voice sharing tool for social networking services (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Blogger). Developed by SHAPE Services, VR+: Voice Recorder can be installed on a Blackberry smartphone over the air or by using a Blackberry Desktop Manager, after the zipped file has been downloaded on a PC.

Ironically, one of the best devices when it comes to messaging thanks to its full QWERTY keyboard – the Blackberry is now in a weird position, where users will simply record and send their messages instead of manually typing them. Thus, you will be able to record just about anything like a voice note, lecture or interview and then send it to your friends as an attached file. The application even eases the way you listen to the voice notes received, by automatically converting them into MP3 format files. VR+: Voice Recorder also offers users the possibility to make podcasts and share them more or less publicly.

The developer thought of everything and is now offering extra storage space for any of the application's users. If you'd like to store your recordings in a place where you can access them anytime and from any device connected to the Internet, you can make an account for VR+ Online Service. You will then be able to store your recordings on the company's server and share them with your friends by simply sending them a link. The recordings can be made public or deleted, and their information can be edited.
A nice tweak includes the possibility to "Transcribe" your voice recordings into a text, which can be e-mailed to you within 24 hours. Still, you will only be able to send up to 5 recordings to transcribe, limited to 3 minutes each during 1 week for free. VR+: Voice Recorder is available for free as a 7-day trial, after which one will have to pay $29.95 USD to register the full version.
