How to keep music inside...music!

I am as environmentalist as possible, but without asking myself "What does this video card contain? Is it recyclable?", because I honestly think that Greenpeace and other similar organizations are pushing it beyond the limit in some cases. If we were to play along with them, then we should place on the electronic products information area exactly that info that you get to see on food packages - what is made of, percentages, caloric amount (hehe, maybe you want to burn your TV or MacBook, so you should know if it's going to generate enough heat to boil a soup...) and so on. I am not saying that this may be bad, but until we will have completely recyclable media players or monitors, a lot of time should pass, so the best thing to do at this time is to throw away as little as possible and recycle everything that you can...

Following this philosophy, you can take your gramma's 7 inch vinyls and dress up your iPod using it, but you should be careful about the consequences, especially if you're going to use her favorite record and she is skilled in using domestic tools that can hurt you really bad (no need for details, the list is really long and depends on the gramma and the items available around the house)... or you can buy such a case from Contexture Design and minimize the risks!

Known simply as "45", after the typical speed (in rotations per minute) of 7 inch vinyl records, these cases have a price of 45$, to match the brand, although this is a bit high in my opinion, and are made of thermoformed vinyl records, felt padding of 40 percent recycled fibers, cork liner and a plexiglas window.

While browsing the official website, it was a real pain for me to find out that records of John Lennon, Tom Jones, Yes or Nazareth have been used to create such cases, but that's life and evolution - erase what's old, use what's new, erase it too when it becomes old...

All iPod models that feature a click wheel can be dressed up this way, and cases for the iPod nano may also be available soon.
