Dan Greenawalt, the leader of development on Forza Motorsport 5, says that his team has long-term plans to update the game with more content, but it might take time before new tracks are added to the list.

He tells Eurogamer that, “we have plans to update this game and make changes that are going to delight our fans, but all the tracks had to be rebuilt either 100 per cent or to be updated seriously. The fastest track to be updated took us nine months.”

Fans of the series have been underwhelmed by the limited selection of tracks available and by the fact that legendary roads like Nurburing were not part of the initial game package.

Turn 10 and Microsoft have already pledged to continue supporting Forza Motorsport 5 for twelve months by launching new cars via DLC.

The racing title is only offered on the Xbox One home console.
