A group of Turkish hackers called Ayyildiz, possibly the old group that was making headlines a few years ago, has defaced several websites belonging to Serbian government and civil organizations.

Apparently, the hacktivists have targeted the websites to mark the 18th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre.

According to World Bulletin, the hackers have posted the following message on the defaced websites “The world will never forget the Serbian massacre.”

A Turkish flag and a photo of the commemoration ceremony have also been displayed on the impacted sites.

July 11, 2013 marked 18 years since Serbian forces killed around 8,000 Bosniak boys and men in the town of Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the Bosnian War.

The event is considered the largest massacre that took place in Europe since World War II.
