Back in 2009, Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan accused China of genocide for the massacre of 184 Uyghur Muslims from the region of Xinjiang. Prime Minister Erdoğan might not be liked by the Turkish people these days, but many still agree with the accusations he made at the time.

Among them, three Turkish hackers – Bozkurt97, De4THBLoW & Bozkurt71 – who have defaced a total of 33 Chinese government domains, HackRead reports.

Most of the hacked sites belong to Huojia, a county in Xinxiang, the Henan province of China. The main huojia.gov.cn and 31 of its subdomains have been defaced to display a protest message.

In addition, the hackers defaced the main website of Yanjin (yanjin gov cn), a county located in the same part of China as Huojia.

“Hacked for Uighur Muslim Turk brothers and all of Turkish world and we will hack your a lot of government and so important websites. Fear From Turks !!” the hackers wrote on the defaced pages.

Currently, all the defaced websites have been taken offline.
