The website of Alexza Pharmaceuticals (alexza.com) – a Mountain View-based company that focuses on the research, development and commercialization of products for the treatment of central nervous systems conditions – has been hacked.

Hackers of Ayyıldız Tim, a group from Turkey, have taken credit for the attack. All of Alexza’s webpages have been defaced with a message of protest against those who insult Islam.

The hacktivists are also showing support for the Muslims in Turkestan, a city in the southern region of Kazakhstan, and the ones in Arakan, the state in Burma currently known as Rakhine.

Over the past years, Ayyıldız Tim has breached and defaced thousands of websites from all over the world to promote its mission.

At the time of writing, the website of Alexza Pharmaceuticals is still defaced.
