Fuji OS is a distribution made for home users which want to migrate from Windows to Linux. In this respect, it includes many open source applications, similar to what we find in Windows. Another feature of this new operating system is Progression Desktop for Linux, a tool for transferring files between Linux and Windows. Moreover, Fuji is also compatible with the innovative PowerDVD player that grants legitimate commercial DVD access to Fuji users.

"Fuji offers an exceptional hybrid operating system that will increase Linux use in global markets and diverse industries. We continue to aggressively pursue partnerships for Fuji preinstallation and bundling ventures", said Koichi Yano, president of Turbolinux Inc.

Fuji OS is based on Turbolinux Desktop 10. It is worth mentioning that Fuji OS was designed initially for Japan users, but its capabilities for interconnection with Windows recommended it as a major actor in the global operating systems market.

A special feature of Fuji OS is that it can be upgraded by plug-ins, Moreover, customers can buy the core of the operating system and then build personal plug-ins.
